FROM HOME?
Yes - You must install the software on your home computer or laptop.
You may have the software on multiple computers (Work and Home).
If you need an
additional bar code scanner please ask your sales rep.
CAN I CHANGE OR ADD
AN ACCOUNT?
Yes - There is a program that will do this called "SetUserProfile" Browse to
C:\Program Files\Richmond-Master\RmdOrderFtp\Support\SetUserProfile.exe.
Run this to change account
information. You may have more than one account on the same PC.
WILL THE SOFTWARE
WORK WITH WINDOWS XP PRO.
Yes - The software has been tested on the following computers.
Windows 95, 98,
98se, 2000, ME, NT, XP Family/Home and XP professional.
HOW DO I KNOW WHO
THE CURRENT ORDER IS FOR?
The Drop Down box will display the "current" customer. This is the account that
is currently being used.
This is only for customers that have multiple accounts
using one pc.
CAN I
ADD ITEMS TO MY CURRENT ORDER?
Yes - Click View and your Order is displayed. You can add items by clicking in
the open Item# box.
Then key in the Item # and press enter, Key in your
quantity and press enter.
CAN I
DELETE AN ITEM(S)?
Yes - By Clicking the left side of the row of your current order will highlight
it.
Press the Delete key on your keyboard and the row is deleted.
How do I know my order was
received?
You will receive an Email confirmation with a copy of your order.
Your Email address must be added to our host system. Please call for details.
WHAT DO I NEED FOR ON LINE ORDERING?
A PC with Windows and an Internet connection.
If you plan on scanning barcodes you will also
need an available USB or serial port.
WILL I NEED ANOTHER PHONE LINE?
NO - All the software is run directly from your PC.
You only need to be connected to the Internet for a few seconds.
HOW DO I GET THE SOFTWARE?
Please call the Main Office or ask your sales rep.

WHEN I CLICK THE READ BUTTON NOTHING HAPPENS.
1. Make sure the scanner cable is properly attached to your
computer.
2. Make sure the scanner is connected to the cable.
3. Sometimes there is a lag (wait) time from software to
hardware.
MY BAR CODE SCANNER IS NOT BEEPING OR READING THE BAR CODES.
1. Replace the batteries with four new #357 batteries.
2. Make sure the bar codes have not been damaged (wet or smudged).
I CAN'T FIND THE RMDORDERFTP PROGRAM WHEN I CLICK THE WINDOWS START BUTTON.
1. If you accepted the defaults during installation the application can be found here "C:\Program Files\Richmond-Master\RmdOrderFtp"
2. Check the path where you installed the software without
using the default installation.
3. Use Windows Find to locate the program named
"RMDOrderFTP.exe".
I CLICKED THE CLEAR BUTTON AND RECEIVED AN ERROR -1 CSP32.DLL
1. Make sure your CS-1504 is firmly
connected to the cable.
COMMON ERROR CODES:
Invalid procedure call or argument
You tried to send an order with 0 items.

Invalid use of Null
This occurs when the "first" line of the Current order does not have a QTY & Description.
Invalid User ID:
Run Setuserprofile and correct the user ID.

Class does not support automation or expected interface.
You may be missing a file named "MSSTDFMT.DLL".
Download or copy the file in to your System folder or
System32 folder for WindowsXP. Click Start, select Run, then key in
Regsvr32 c:\Windows\System\msstdfmt.dll or
Regsvr32 c:\Windows\System32\msstdfmt.dll (for Windows XP).
The registered file should show successful.
Invalid file or directory:
Run Setuserprofile and correct the distributor name

Arguments are of the wrong type, are out of acceptable
range, or are in conflict with One another.
This is caused by a fault with in the barcode scanner. Currently a fix is
not available. *Call support if you receive this error.
Run-time error 3021: No valid Item bar codes.
Manually clear your scanner.

SetUserProfile - Run-time error 3021 Either BOF or EOF is True, or current
record has been deleted. Request operation requires a current record.
You may be missing a key file "MSSTDFMT.DLL" download or copy
the file in to your system folder or System32 folder (XP). Click Start /
Run / then key in
Regsvr32 c:\Windows\System\msstdfmt.dll or
Regsvr32 c:\Windows\System32\msstdfmt.dll (for windows xp).
The registered file should show successful.

Run–time error 2147467259 (800XXXX):
The RMDOrderFTP database may be damaged or corrupt.
Try downloading a NEW items database from the RMDOrderFTP application.
If this fails uninstall RMDOrderFTP and then ReInstall RMDOrderftp.
Your modem (Dial-up,DSL,Cable) is not connecting to the
Internet.

FtpPutFile error code: 12003 message:
The server returned extended information.
Correct the "Regional Date" settings from Control Panel.
Dates must be set as shown.
Short date style: MM/dd/yyyy
Long date style: dddd,MMMM dd,yyyy
Windows 98: Control Panel / Regional Settings / Date
Windows XP: Control Panel / Regional and Language / Regional
Options / Customize / Date
CspPowerDown - Error -7, Csp32.dll reported an LRC error.
The barcode scanner lost communications, click OK, click
Read again.

Microsoft DataGrid Control - Cannot initiate data bindings.
You may be missing a key file "MSSTDFMT.DLL" download or copy
the file in to your System folder or System32 folder (XP).
Click Start, Click Run, Key in,
Regsvr32 C:\Windows\System\msstdfmt.dll [press Enter]
or
Regsvr32 c:\Windows\System32\msstdfmt.dll (for windows XP) [press Enter].
The registered file should show successful.
windows 98 Symbol CS-1504 scanner driver installation.
Make sure your PC is on and Windows is started
Plug the USB end of the 1504 cable in to an available USB port on your computer.
Windows Add New Hardware Wizard will start
CLICK Next >
CLICK the radio button –
Search for the best driver for your device.
[Recommended]
CLICK Next
CLICK the Browse button
Browse to your CD Drive and select the folder as shown above.
The window should look similar as the one shown here.
CLICK Next >
Windows will find the new hardware and install it.
CLICK Next >
The installation will copy the drivers to your PC.
Windows Add New Hardware Wizard has finished.
CLICK Finish
windows XP Symbol CS-1504 scanner driver installation.
With your PC on and Windows started,
Insert the USB end of the scanner cable in to an open USB port.
You will receive the following message located at the lower right of your screen.
The Hardware Wizard will automatically start.
CLICK the radio button –
CLICK Next >
The wizard will find the USB Device,
CLICK the radio button –
Install from a list of specific location (Advanced)
CLICK Next >
The wizard continues with Found New Hardware,
CLICK the radio button –
Search for the best driver in these locations.
CLICK the box –
Search removable media (floppy, CD-ROM…)
CLICK Next >
The found New Hardware Wizard continues…
Hardware Wizard has finished finding your new hardware.
CLICK Finish
You should receive the following balloon message at the bottom right hand of your screen.
Installation is complete.
